On January 26, 2011, Ellen Greenberg was found brutally stabbed 20 times, including 10 wounds to the back of her neck, and covered in bruises. Despite this overwhelming evidence of violence, the city's Medical Examiner, under pressure from the police, controversially ruled her death a suicide. Over the past decade, Ellen’s family has fought tirelessly to correct this wrongful conclusion, with expert testimony and independent investigations proving her death was a homicide. A recent finding from the city's own neuropathologist confirmed that one of Ellen’s wounds could only have been inflicted after her death, further debunking the suicide ruling. Ellen’s parents, after years of legal battles and mounting frustrations, continue to demand justice for their daughter and seek to have her death certificate changed to reflect the true nature of her tragic death.
